Funerals
I will do everything I can to create a funeral that truly reflects the person who has died. My experience as a therapist and bereavement counsellor has taught me the power of listening
How I can help
-
Assisting with music choices if required
-
Guiding you in the selection of readings and poems. - I have a number of examples to show you
-
Allowing you to tell me about the person who has died in order that I can reach the essence of them and compose a tribute which can be delivered by myself, a family member or friend
-
Discussing any more unusual ideas or visuals to be incorporated
-
Conducting the funeral ceremony
-
Supporting and guiding the mourners on the day
How it usually works
-
The Funeral Director puts you in touch with me or you contact me direct
-
We speak on the phone and arrange a time for me to meet you
-
We meet, usually at your home though a room at the funeral director can be arranged if preferred. These visits usually take about 1-2 hours. During this informal meeting I will try to learn as much as possible about the person who has died and also all your wishes for an appropriate farewell.
-
I can help find appropriate readings and music if required
-
If I am writing a tribute I will send you a copy to check
-
If you are writing and delivering the tribute I will encourage you to run it past me before the ceremony so I can check timings
-
I will write and deliver as much or as little of the ceremony as you wish
